SARASOTA COUNTY TO HONOR ELECTION WORKERS

Sarasota, FL, April 13, 2005 - Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent will host Poll Worker Appreciation Night at Ed Smith Stadium Thursday, April 21, 2005.

Poll Workers may pick up tickets at the Supervisor’s office in the Terrace Building, 101 South Washington Blvd., at “will call” the night of the game, or by contacting Poll Worker Coordinator, Pam Cutrone, at 861-8640. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. the game begins at 7 p.m. Sarasota Reds vs. The Clearwater Threshers.

Annual poll worker appreciation events are staged to thank and to honor the hundreds of citizens who do such a wonderful job of serving Sarasota County’s more than 246,000 registered voters on election day.
