Sarasota County supervisor of elections offers early voting

(SARASOTA, FL, February 22, 2005) – Early voting for the March 8, 2005 municipal and district elections will begin February 22 and continue through March 7, Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent announced today.

Eligible voters may vote early on touch screen voting machines in one of the SOE’s three offices in Sarasota (Terrace Bldg, 2001 Adams Lane), Venice (R.L. Anderson Administration Bldg, 4000 Tamiami Trail South), and North Port (Biscayne Plaza, 13640 Tamiami Trail).

Ms Dent encourages voters to cast their ballots Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Sarasota and Venice SOE offices, and from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. in the North Port office. The North Port office is closed from 12-1 p.m. weekdays. The main office in Sarasota and branch office in North Port will be open weekends for early voting on Saturday morning, February 26 and March 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday afternoon, February 27 and March 6 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
