Voter Registration Deadline Nears For
Longboat Key General Election

(SARASOTA, FL, Jan 25, 2005) –The Town of Longboat Key will conduct its General Election on Tuesday, March 8. Only citizens who both reside in the Town of Longboat Key and are registered to vote in Sarasota County or Manatee County by Tuesday, February 7 will be eligible to vote in this election.

Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent recommends that voters verify their registration status. A voter who has moved, changed name, or needs to update a signature since the last election may call or write the Supervisor of Elections. To apply to register to vote, a completed Florida Voter Registration Application Form must be submitted by February 7. Florida Voter Registration Application forms are available at Supervisor of Elections offices, city halls, county libraries, county offices, social service agencies and at many area banks.
