SOE urges voters to take advantage of touch screen demonstrations (SARASOTA,
Feb 3, 2004) – Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent has scheduled
several demonstrations of the county’s touch screen voting machines
(iVotronics) in the coming weeks to ensure that Sarasota County voters
are prepared for the March 9 and fall elections. Monday, Feb 9, 7-8:30 p.m., Venice High School Open House, VHS campus, 1 Indian Ave, Venice Friday, Feb 20, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Westfield Shoppingtown, U.S. 41 and Beneva Rd, S.A.L.T. (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together) Info Expo Friday, Mar 12-21, Sarasota County Fair, Robarts Arena/County Fair Grounds, 3000 Ringling Blvd, Sarasota Saturday, Mar 13, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., North Port High School, 6401 W Price Blvd, North Port, 18th Annual North Port Area Business/Community Expo Wednesday, Apr 7, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., MCC Venice Campus, Courtyard, Spring Fling. Voters may also receive
a hands-on demonstration on how to use the iVotronic at all three supervisor
of elections’ offices in Sarasota, the Terrace Bldg, 101 S Washington
Blvd; in Venice, the Robert L Anderson Administration Bldg, 4000 S Tamiami
Trail, and in North Port, 13640 Tamiami Trail, during week days from 8:30
a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Residents may register to vote at any of the above
