Opens North Port Office

(Sarasota, FL, July 25, 2003) – Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent announces the Grand Opening of the North Port Supervisor of Elections office. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be on August 1, 2003 at 10:30 am. The public is cordially invited to attend.

Immediately following the ribbon cutting, the Elections office will be open for in-office absentee voting prior to the August 26th North Port bond referendum election. This service will be available every weekday during regular office hours in the North Port elections office and on Saturday, August 23rd from 9:00 am to 1:00.

“This is a big win for the voters of North Port. To have a North Port Supervisor of Elections office has been a dream of mine since 2000. To see that dream become a reality is exciting”, said Ms. Dent.

Office hours will be 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with a one hour lunch closing Monday through Friday.

All voter services will be available.
