Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections offices 
will be open March 16

(Sarasota, FL, March 1,2002) - Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent announces her offices will be open Saturday March 16, 2002 from 9:00AM to 1:00 PM to provide an opportunity for all Sarasota County residents to learn about the new touch0screen voting system of for registered voters to actually cast their vote as an absentee voter before the Tuesday March 19 election. Only citizens residing in Sarasota County and registered to vote in Sarasota County will be eligible to vote absentee in the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections offices on March 16.

There are two Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections office locations. North county residents can absentee vote or see the demonstration at 101 South Washington Boulevard. Parking is available in the county lot on Adams Lane south of the building entrance located at 2001 Adams Lane. South county residents can absentee vote or see the demonstration at the R. L. Anderson Building, 4000 Tamiami Trail South, Room 114, Venice.
