Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections has new Phone Number

( SARASOTA FL , Feb. 12, 2002 ) –Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent announces that her office has converted to the new Sarasota County 861 telephone prefix. 

The new system features a single number, 861-8600, through which callers will be guided directly to the person(s) best suited to answer their specific request. This change is only one part of a county-wide initiative to convert all Sarasota County government offices to the 861 prefix which is reserved for only that purpose.

 “There also is a pre-recorded voter information line 861-VOTE (861-8683) which features office hours, voter registration information, and current announcements on upcoming elections.” Dent said. 

During the transition, the office has arranged to make sure callers who dial the old office numbers will be forwarded to the appropriate extensions in the new 861 prefix plan.
