(SARASOTA,
FL, Feb 4, 2002) –The
Town of Longboat Key will hold the Scheduled Election for Officers on Tuesday,
March 19. Only citizens residing in the Town of Longboat Key and who are
registered to vote in Sarasota County or Manatee County by Tuesday,
February
19 will
be eligible to vote in this election.
Supervisor
of Elections Kathy Dent recommends that voters verify their registration status.
To participate in this election, voters residing in the Town of Longboat Key who
have moved since the last election must update their residence addresses in
writing with their Supervisor of Elections offices. Residents of Sarasota County
write to: Supervisor of Elections, P.O. BOX 4194, Sarasota, FL 34230-4194.
Residents of Manatee County write to: Supervisor of Elections, P.O. BOX 1000,
Bradenton, FL 34206.
Town
of Longboat Key residents not registered to vote in Sarasota or Manatee County
have until February 19 to submit a completed Florida Voter Registration
Application Form. These forms are available at Supervisor of Elections offices,
city halls, county libraries, county offices, and many area banks.
