Secretary of State Browning to Meet with Sarasota County SOE

Sarasota, April 10, 2008 – Secretary of State Kurt Browning will visit Sarasota County next week to discuss the county’s voter education plans and conversion to an optical scan (paper ballot) voting system, Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent said today.

Secretary Browning and his team are scheduled to meet with Supervisor Dent and members of her staff on Election Day, Tuesday, April 15. Items for discussion will include the voting system conversion, vendor support, technical issues, and preparations for the fall elections, among others.
