Sarasota County supervisor of elections offers early voting

Early voting for the March 13, 2007, Sarasota County Charter Amendment Special, City of Sarasota Regular, Town of Longboat Key Charter Amendment, and Holiday Park Park and Recreation District elections will begin Monday, February 26, 2007, and continue through Sunday, March 11, 2007, Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent announced today.

All registered voters will have the opportunity to vote early at any of the three SOE offices in Sarasota (Terrace Bldg, 2001 Adams Lane), Venice (R.L. Anderson Administration Bldg, 4000 Tamiami Trail South), and North Port (Biscayne Plaza, 13640 Tamiami Trail), and at the Longboat Key Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key. Early voting hours at all locations will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Saturdays March 3 and March 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Sundays March 4 and March 11 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Florida Law requires voters to present photo and signature ID in order to vote at the polls. If you appear at the polls without current and valid ID, you will be required to vote a provisional ballot.
