Voter Registration Deadline Nears For March 13, 2007, Elections

The registration deadline is approaching for the Sarasota County Charter Amendment Special, City of Sarasota Regular, Town of Longboat Key Charter Amendment, and Holiday Park Park and Recreation District elections, which will be held on Tuesday, March 13. Only citizens who are registered to vote by Monday, February 12 will be eligible to vote in these elections.

Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent recommends that voters verify their registration information. A voter who has moved, had a name change, or needs to update a signature since the last election may call the Supervisor of Elections at 861-8600 or write to Supervisor of Elections, PO Box 4194, Sarasota, FL 34230-4194.

To apply to register to vote, a completed Florida Voter Registration Application Form must be submitted. Florida Voter Registration Application forms are available at supervisor of elections offices, city halls, county libraries, county offices, social service agencies and many area banks or may be downloaded here.
