Absentee ballot canvass

Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent announces sealed absentee ballots received for the Nov. 7, 2006, General, Special and Municipal elections will be available for public inspection on Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. and again on Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. at the office of the Supervisor of Elections, 2001 Adams Lane.

The Sarasota County Canvassing Board will meet at noon Friday, at the office of the Supervisor of Elections, 2001 Adams Lane to conduct the initial canvass of absentee ballots and again at noon on Monday Nov. 6, 2006, to canvass absentee ballots.

On Election Day the Canvassing Board will reconvene at 6 p.m. The Board will reconvene on Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at 4 p.m. to canvass provisional ballots and again on Nov. 17, 2006, at 4 p.m. to canvass military and overseas ballots received after Nov. 7. The Board will remain in session until the results of the election are certified.
