Sarasota County supervisor of elections offers early voting

(SARASOTA, FL, October 19, 2006) Early voting for the November 7, 2006, General, Special and Municipals elections will begin Monday, October 23, 2006, and continue through Sunday, November 5, 2006, Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent announced today.

All registered voters will have the opportunity to vote early at any of seven locations, including the three SOE offices in Sarasota (Terrace Bldg, 2001 Adams Lane), Venice (R.L. Anderson Administration Bldg, 4000 Tamiami Trail South), and North Port (Biscayne Plaza, 13640 Tamiami Trail), North County Library (2801 Newtown Blvd.), Fruitville Library (100 Coburn Road), Gulf Gate Library (7112 Curtiss Ave), and North Port City Hall (4970 City Hall Blvd.).

Early voting hours at all locations will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturdays, October 28 and November 4, and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sundays, October 29 and November 5.

Florida Law requires voters to present photo and signature ID in order to vote at the polls. If you appear at the polls without current and valid ID, you will be required to vote a provisional ballot.
