Supervisor of Elections to issue new voter information cards

( SARASOTA , FL , February 17, 2005 ) – Kathy Dent, Supervisor of Elections , will be mailing new voter information cards to all registered voters in Sarasota County starting February 22, 2006 .

All voters are urged to check their new cards for changes in precinct number and polling location and review their voting districts. The card is informational only and may not be used for identification for voting. Voters must present a photo and signature ID at the polls or will be required to vote a provisional ballot.

If you believe you are registered to vote and do not receive your new voter information card by March 1, 2006 , please call Voter Services at 861-8619.
