Voter Registration Deadline Nears For March 14, 2006 Elections

(SARASOTA, FL, Feb. 3, 2006) -The registration deadline is approaching for the Sarasota County School Board Special Referendum, Town of Longboat Key General, and Holiday Park Park and Recreation District elections, which will be held on Tuesday, March 14. Only citizens who are registered to vote in Sarasota County by Tuesday, February 13 will be eligible to vote in these elections.

Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent recommends that voters verify their registration information. A voter who has moved, changed name, or needs to update a signature since the last election may call the Supervisor of Elections at 861-8600 or write to Supervisor of Elections, PO Box 4194, Sarasota, FL 34230-4194.

To apply to register to vote, a completed Florida Voter Registration Application Form must be submitted. Florida Voter Registration Application forms are available at Supervisor of Elections offices, city halls, county libraries, county offices, social service agencies and at many area banks or may be downloaded from here.
